About Me

My photo
bzzyb11
I am a retired English teacher, editor, technical writer, and curriculum developer. I used also to be an avid vegetable gardener and beekeeper, but my local Audubon affiliation, birding jaunts in both the U.S. and S.A., bicycle touring, and Earthwatch Expeditions saw me away from home too often to keep up with these two hobbies. I love long-distance cycling. Until 2014 I took to the road nearly every spring or summer. Hip replacement surgeries and age ended my bicycling career. Since I could no longer cycle, I wrote about my cycling adventures and titled my book: "Coast When Ya Kin; Thirty Years Behind Bars." I have also written nine children's books and a memoir of my childhood years. You can read more about my books at my author site: susanschuylerwalker.blogspot.com. All of my books are available under my author name (Susan Schuyler Walker) at amazon.com.
