Left Florence’s early. She planned to not get up and let me slip out early. She did get up, however, and sobbed and sobbed when I left. I was crying too. Really hate that Mike moved her to Warrington from Stillwater, but understand that she needed to be nearer her only son.
Got to Peter’s after going up the NY side of Lake Champlain too far and having to cross on a bridge which I understand has now been demolished. Then had to backtrack to P & S’s. The next day we drove up to Plattsburgh, took a ferry across Lake Champlain, went to a small museum in the basement of a library, and took a long hike around Saranac Lake on finding the Interpretative Center closed.
